It is a mixture of custom legend and of elite, super shallowbowl, acoustic only. Here are photos: http://www.hostingpics.net/viewer.php?id=631939P1100121.jpg http://www.hostingpics.net/viewer.php?id=975740P1100127.jpg http://www.hostingpics.net/viewer.php?id=124207P1100130.jpg http://www.hostingpics.net/viewer.php?id=652768P1100129.jpg http://www.hostingpics.net/viewer.php?id=756655IMG0491.jpg And then, just for fun, I decided to make it electroacoustic, by getting back an old preamp of my balladeer 1612, a piezo and an adamas knob! And here is the result ! http://www.hostingpics.net/viewer.php?id=6862971537custom2.JPG It works marvelously plugged and it is really unique guitar now! Here is the story !

This won't make it a Custom Legend, otherwise the 87C should be called Custom Legend Elite as well. And I do know the Legend Elites and always thought that their names should be read as "Legendary Elites". But guiguite says, this one is a mixture of a Custom Legend and an Elite, and my question is serious: Where in this guitar is a Custom Legend to be found? Thanks, Kurt

I finally decided that, since it was built by an employee to his personal specifications, he could call it whatever he wanted. For all I know, it has A-bracing under the top. Ovation has always been a little loose with it's titles anyway. When I got my custom parlor, rebuilt from a busted 1997 Collectors, it had a 97C label in it. I asked John Budny if they could replace it with a custom label, and he sent me several blank labels and said I could name it whatever I wanted, It's now a 1997-X because it certainly is NOT a stock 1997C. As far as Guiguite's guitar goes, the name is a minor detail passed on by mouth from the original builder about a one-of-a-kind instrument. Accuracy is secondary, and in this case just adds to the story a bit.

Thanks, Kurt  Yes, Kurt, it is me who named it like that, but on the label, are written "1537" and as the bridge and the TRC are sculptured , as my custom legend, so, I called it like that, but at first, it is a supershallow bowl elite 1537 acoustic... now electroacoustic ! And as says Patrick, it is the story which is interesting, never mind the name which I gave it !
