I can't wait - I'm expecting a call from the mothership to tell me that my 97C is ready to be picked up. Road trip to Connecticut this Friday! I promise to post appropraitely blingy pics.

That's one in.

And while I'm there, I'll be leaving my 93C for a similar spa treatment. The fun part is deciding what the treatment will consist of....

That's one out.

Net = zero. ;)

I can't wait too.
My 1967 DB is in late. It should be here early April. At MS say they have a lot to do, that's a good thing, but mean that I still have to wait some time.
Net = -1 :(
I'm sure they will work their magic on this guitar. I have to quite down. I'm too anxious and can't wait any longer to see the final result of MS treatment.....

My 97C has been with Mother since late February. I got a call last week to tell me that it would be ready this week, and would I mind terribly if they replaced the TS Preamp with an Op-Pro so they wouldn't have to reinstall the TS?

Hmmm, let me think about that. Three one-hundredths of a second later I said: "OK."

Mine is at MS since Jan 31st for a complete spa treatment. I have high expectation for that guitar and I'm sure it will be a cool-restored old piece of O history right after the MS expert hands completed their work on it .....

Congrats guys, it's always a moment when you get the guitar back from the MS and get a look at it. Wonderful work they do up there.

Just sent off a shiny bowl GC 12 string I got off eBay with the hope it will be an easy fix (it arrived with cracks in the bowl at the waist on both sides and a spiderweb effect crack radiating out from the lower strap mount). As the side cracks go up through the binding onto the top, I figure they are simply in the finish - the one from the strap mount I'm not so sure about. Reading all your reports though, I'm sure they'll have no trouble completing the repair.
Is there more I should ask them to do? What is the "spa treatment" I keep reading about?

The "spa treatment" seems to be limited more by your imagination and the depth of your wallet.

The level of talent at the Mothership is not a limiting factor.

You can have your guitar restored, or customized mild to wild. Change the top, add bling, etc. until you have what you like.

For me, deciding how to customize my 97C was the most fun I've had in a great while. I can't wait to see it!

This from the guy who will also tell you that you couldn't possibly pry his OFC (DING!) from his cold, dead hands.

Yes, that's the one. Michael was great about it so no bad feelings there.
Looking forward to an easy repair followed by a long life with it.

The '97 C hasn't been very popular in the past compared to other collectors. Interesting, all this talk about them in this thread. Got me to thinking...with all the guitars I've had in-and-out over the years, the only 6 string I have left is my 97C w/OpPro. That's likely the way it will stay,too since my playing days have waned in favor of other activities. I love that little guitar. I think it's a work of art as far as design goes.

I loved it before; but add Koa, abalone, tortoise, celtic knots, etc.....

Will Friday never come?!?!?
