What would be a fair price to sell for? was purchased in 08. I had one offered to me, I can't grab it, broke, but I have a family member who might. They wanted 1400 for it,seemed high to me. I'm in Canada, so that'a our funds there.

It was a cost-cutting move by CBS that many believe assisted in the deterioration of quality and the design didn't last. When the reissues came out, I couldn't believe it. Maybe they're better made nowadays, but $1400 seems high. A USA Standard Strat can be found for half that.

In excellent condition, they sell for $800-$1200 now. The one your looking at is a reissue, so I doubt its worth that much on either side of the border.
