If you listen to his lyrics...
He checked his Martin Dreadnaught to the airline in a soft leather case.
And he complained when it got damaged!!!

Yeah, I noticed that too. I guess as a gate checked bag he expected that he would pick it up at the plane when he de-boarded. Still, you'd think a traveling pro would at least use a hard shell case.

Live and learn.

Still fun.

Yes, That was funny and very entertaining. In some ways songs like that are harder to do than your regular "real musical, verse chorus etc" ones.

Of course it does rub a bit the wrong way to have the guitar I asked to be shiped overnight on Thursday so I could have it Fridary, now sitting in Philly after going ground from Virginia to Baltimore to Philly. Then again, maybe they are flying it. Like we used to say in the airline business, "Time to spare? Go by air"

I saw LW III do that song live last summer, he had the audience roaring with laughter.

He's still at it, and he still puts on a great show…

…just don't ask him to play "Dead Skunk." ;)

it won't be a surprise if you tell me the shipper is UPS.

That depends upon where you are, I think… UPS is very dependable here, but Fed-Ex absolutely, positively won't deliver anything when, how, nor in the condition that I expect…

Let's wait on the shipping damage, I guess I was jumping the gun

Yeah, I've seen that pic before.
Most airlines you buy a ticket, on Delta you buy a chance.....

But none of the shippers are consistently dependable everywhere, so, sadly, things are bound to get screwed up on one end or the other, (if not both)… But, given a choice; "better late than broken"…

With the holiday volume and cold weather, this is an even more nerve-wracking time to ship/receive guitars…

I think we can all sympathize with your situation Beal. Good Luck, I hope your song has a happy ending…
