Glen has been doing a lot of TV appearances lately but I've managed to miss every one. Just heard he's going to be on the "Ellen" show tomorrow (Wednesday) at 4:00pm Eastern on CBS. I've alredy set my recorder ... not going to miss another appearance! :) Sure hope he performs.

No spoiler from me, but yes, he did perform and sounded terrific.

Finally got to watch it ... I was pleasantly surprised at his performances. Hang in there Glen. Some joke a little about Glen, but I watched a professional doing what he loves to do under very hard circumstances and he did it well.
The only Ovation I saw was a single-cut AE that his son played. Since I'm an electric solid-body guy, I don't know the model. It was beautiful ... looked like MOP for the binding and epulets(?) around the multiple sound holes. White top. Shiny under bright lights. Nice.

Yep. The M.O.P. epaulets were really sharp. Terrific that his kids are playing with him now. I was proud as hell watching him though. 50 years in the business and he still kicks it. The new album still blows me away on a near-daily basis.

In an interview at his house, Glen was noodling on that ME. His son Shannon mostly, in concert plays an Adamas I contour bowl (2081?), a new guitar. I guess he has the ME as well?

Here's Wichita Lineman from the Ellen show. Look's like Glen is playing a G&L instead of the Strat he's been using for awhile. Love his solos.

Glen was the reason I picked up a guitar in the first place. He was and still is an inspiration to me. There are mixed emotions watching him now. It is inspiring how he is facing the situation with such a positive attitude. It is a bit depressing as it reminds me of how old I really am now. Time to pick up the 1617 and play a few GC tunes....

He's been playing the G&L for the last 5-6 years. And ditto what the Judge said....

Moody I didn't know that. Do you know if he still uses a pod?

When I saw him last year, he was still playing his dark blue custom shop Strat, his EA6 Viper, and his Hamer 12 string. The biggest surprise came a few years earlier when he finished his show with an encore of Amazing Grace on his electric bagpipes.

Saw him on Leno...he didn't play guitar that night...
And may I speak for all us old dudes...I dare say: if it weren't for Glen, I doubt I would have known what an Ovation guitar was...I fell in love with them then and still love them to this day...
Thanks Glen! Play on....

He was the main inspiration behind my Dad getting the 68 DB.
He loved his music, I love his music, and my boy loves his music.
It's going to be a real special treat to see him in concert but even more special because I get to go with my Wife and Son (my Daughter has to work).
I can't wait!
