I have one on the electric bass (which I don't play that much). All I have to do is unzip the front zipper or pull it up, then I am ready to play. I can leave the cover up right on the stand even without a guitar in it. The microfibre material is also quite cool. Cliff and PT, did you ever use yours from last Christmas?

Maybe with some room for one of those mini dorm fridges, too. And a porta potty. Actually, it's starting to sound like a dorm room. Maybe you could just relocate to the nearest university. But, then maybe you wouldn't get much TV watching in, either. I think this plans has it's pros and cons. Hrmm..

If you're somewhat "leerie" about leaving your precious instrument out on a stand (be it at a gig or at home), this thing CAN help allay some of your fears. Slips on and off quite easily, and offers protection from the ravages of wagging dog tails, scratchy cat claws, and sticky rugrat paws. Personally, I don't find myself using mine much, but then again, I don't share a domicile with any of the above anymore. The only potential hazard that I have is the cleaning lady who shows up twice a month with a feather duster (and she's been thoroughly educated on the "do's and don'ts"). So send Alexander an e-mail and order one (or four). They come in assorted colors. All of 'em black.

Periodically "rotate" the jacket around on the guitars. When you get a new "acquisition", keep it under the jacket until the SpousalUnit subliminally acclimates to number of guitars in the area. After a while, you can go back to the usual jacket "shuffling". If a question arises: "Oh, THAT one's been here for a LONG time!!!" ;)
