Location: East Wenatchee, WA | Nope....I run several types of mics including two AT2020 condensers and a couple of SM58's all of which I leave plugged in all the time (not to mention an XLR for my O/A's).
Did extensive research on the topic including chatting with the fine folks at Mackie and standard "dynamic" mics ignore the phantom power. I have all the wiring diagrams somewhere to prove it, but probably am too lazy to look for them.
Plug in an go for it. |

Although some ribbons (Blue Woodpecker) do require 48V power. So bottom line....always best to check. |
