I'm looking for one of the few LAV-KOA 12 strings made. I had a chance for one once and stupidly passed, it sounded and played great.
PM me, thanks.

Where'd you play it? My understanding was that the 14 fret Koa guitars (6-strings) were originally intended to be 12-strings but Al didn't think he could sell that many 12-strings so he changed the order. The one 12 stringer that was built as an engineeing proto was never sold to my knowledge. I asked about it, but just got a few cheshire cat smiles. If it's available someplace for sale I would buy it without question.

Is Lightfoot really looking for a 12 fret rather than a 12 string?

He said 12 string.

I read 12-STRING, and that's what I was referring to as well. But I don't know if the one is still in existence or not.

Lightfoot's location is "out there" so I'll go take a trip and call him in.

My bet is on a mental typo for 12 fret.

And why hasn't anyone ordered a 12 string KoaLaVa?

...because I have a 12-string u681t

but a 12-fret, 12-sting KoaLaVa would probably be a nice flavor

So first of all, my manners are lacking.

Lightfoot is looking for a 12 fret KoaLAVa so if anyone has one for sale you know what to do!

I have asked Mr. Big to look into a KoaLAVa Baritone and a 12 String so if any of you are anticipating a Tax return or stimulus talk it up with the 2009 #1 Adamas dealer in the entire known universe (so far). You might find one a smidge cheaper but none will serve you better.

Absolutely before the 14 fretters were built there was talk if they could be build as 12 STRINGS. Or at least a few of them. Maybe one was not built, or maybe it was I dunno. If Al say no, then the answer is no. But this definitely discussed (not in public).

If I WAS gonna have a new 12-string built I think one of these Koa jobs would probably be the one.

If Lightfoot (Gordon?) IS looking for a 12 fretter (6 string) I think there is one for sale. Is it Fred? I know MINE ain't going anywhere.
