Read this entire craigslist ad. A lesson in how not to sell a damn thing.

Darn it! And to think I just turned down a guy who wanted to sell me a "rare" Harmony guitar! This thing had a lifting bridge and a neck that was seperated. That makes it more valuable, right?

Funny how sales work sometimes. I went into a guitar store the other day and they had a beater 1117 on the wall (Cracks, bad fret wear etc). I picked it up to play and the salesperson (who had been shadowing me) asked me to take off my coat if I wanted to play it so I would not leave any marks on the back. This guitar was pretty beat up but of course I agreed. I flipped he guitar over to see the back before I played it and it was splattered with mud, yes mud. Maybe she was worried about me getting my jacket dirty? I won't even mention the price.

The old saying a picture paints a thousand words - in this case his thousand words paints a very good mental picture!! With the tone and flow of the way this guy writes, you form a pretty good mental picture of what he is like in the metal so to speak!! Doesn't entice you to buy, now does it ;)

I think it's a parody of the bad Craigslist ads you see every day. Nice writing job.

You know, you may be right. I hadn't thought of it being a parody. It makes sense, as it's just too nuts to be for real. Then again, this is Florida....

I bet there was a more serious "bad writing" that lead to this sarcastic outflow.

I have an unknown model guitar, made of unknown wood. The manufacturer is RIO in the Peoples Republic of Chna. Don't google for info on this one as you won't find anything. It is anywhere between 50 and 28 years old, the bridge is lifting, pulling the laminate apart on the top. The trim is paint, possibly black but could be ebony. The action is ideal to build up finger stringth and the tone would raise the hair on your cat. I'll let this beauty go for $4,200 plus shipping.
