Joined: July 2002 Posts: 1900 | hello cms-man, the top is the typical dark sunburst; i thought it might have been a usa ovation because the end of the bound finger board wasn't straight across but was 'curved', if you understand that description; but the gold plated tuners just say 'ovation', not schaller or any other description, but i admit i am not as familiar with all ovations gold plated tuners, so i wasn't sure; it's probably a celebrity deluxe 'cause it sure didn't "feel" like a legend, and it doesn't have a 5-piece neck...

Joined: July 2002 Posts: 1900 | Ok, I have a correction and a confirmation; the finish was black, not sunburst;(the headstock, face, and bridge are all black),the serial number is 1045955, the electronics are OP24+, and there is no fret wear at all; however, there are two small stress cracks in the finish on the face of the guitar directly under the end of the fingerboard...i still wonder if $375 is worth it, with only a gig bag... steve
