Are the ME 6 strings good guitars for the money?
I love that pearl white finish and thought I might make a conservative run at this one.

Beauty is in the eye of the beholder. You may want to wait for Cliff's opinion on this one...

I wouldn't want to cast my aspersions and/or opinions on someone's potential purchase . . . I'll pass . . .

Come on Cliff. Do I have to use the search function on this one? Was it "indian blanket" ??? No, no, that was your opinion of one of MY guitars. What the heck was that word you used to describe the pearly white ME ??? Did it rhyme with "stamp-on" ??? Yeah, I think I'm getting close ...

Don't get me wrong. In fact I've never given MY opinion of the ME guitar, maybe I love it! It's just that I rememebr some very opinionated posts about it from others. Plus, I enjoy stirring up the s**t a little. Dave

I believe that the proper description is that this guitar is for a specific segment of the market and any fans/takers outside of that are a bonus.

Gave this one some more thought ... if you like the looks of an all white les paul, then you'd probably like the MEWP. Most people like how it looks, at the very least they say, wow! and after they hear it they love it. The reason I got mine was, besides, how it looks and sounds, was that I was able to get it cheaper than a regular CVT. ME is not really my cup of tea as an artist, but I didn't get the guitar because of her, but because she and her tech made a great guitar. I guess the moral is, if you are looking to purchase this to play, instead of a trophy, don't spend more than you'd spend on a CVT from the same year. I have to tell you I love mine, and I'm very interested to see where this auction goes. I've never bought a guitar that actually appreciated in value. It boils down to this being a real pretty CVT.

I'm in your camp. I love it's looks and have heard nothing but great things about the sound. I own the ME 12 string and get lots of compliments on it as well. My opinion...take a stab at it!

Sounds to me that if you like this guitar you have to squat to pee  !

That's ok......at least the wife never gets mad about me leaving the seat up :p .

Anyway....looks like it will be going over what I was hoping to steal it for anyway. Already at $860 and climbing.

Stephen, never played this model or even seen it other than photos...from the beginning, was always told textured top - I agree but the price of a textured is high.

The CMT (my Millennium) and the SVT are excellent produicts for a price many can afford. Haven't found an Adamas or Ovation that I haven't liked.
