Here's a picture of ole Glen with a custom shop Hamer guitar.

It looks to me like a Custom Monaco Elite with a few add-ons like the Les Paul style pick guard,an additional (tone?) knob, a few micro switches, and a great BIG 3-way selector switch! It's also a pretty rare shot of ole Glen with a wooley worm on his upper lip!! :D (late '70's early to mid '80's??)

That's an interesting pic, thanks for posting it. I always thought Roy Clark was underrated as a musician. Then again, I always thought Buck Owens was a limelight stealing camera hog. (of course, I was much younger when Hee Haw was on the air)

Looks to me like a Sunburst Archtop (Custom, judging by the binding on the neck/body). I didn't think they started making the Monaco's until fairly recently. But, I could be (and probably am) wrong. I'm sure Al could tell us, though... ;)

I edited the picture.....cut out ole Roy (didn't realize he was that BIG! LOL)

I went to the Hamer website and the Monaco Elite was the closet thing I saw that resembled it......I believe the pic of Glen is older that 5 years ago,so what model would you think it is Al? (could it be like a early prototype of the Monaco Elite? Glen has a way of getting in on the "newest" Kaman products!)

Could it be a SLAMMER? :D

It's not necessarily a Hamer (but certainly could be). That picture was taken about 20-25 years ago.

20-25 years is about right Paul. (maybe closer to 20 yrs - mid '80's?)
He sported a full beard in the late '70's early '80's (after "Rhinestone Cowboy" in '75) about the time he and Tanya were getting it on!(circa 1980)

What year did Kaman acquire Hamer??

Here's a later picture of Glen with his (blue) Hamer 12 string which is probably mid '90's. He has on the clean, white, nicely tailored suit like in the picture above.....(he finally grew out of his big collared, flair legged,Elvis inspired jumpsuits - thank God! )

Al or anyone know the model of this 12 string?

Is that a Hamer? Someone sent me that show (because he also uses my Adamas prototype on that program) and I thought it was a customized Les Paul. I'll have to dig it out and have a look. That program aired in '82 and was called "Country Comes Home".
