As noted in a different thread, I have been experimenting with the action on my Elite. I initially took out one of the shims, adjusted the truss rod, then eventually the other shim out. It killed the sound. So I put one shim back in. That has helped, but now I want to put the other one back in, but can't find where I put it.

Does anyone have a shim for a OPP they can toss in the mail?

Or.....measure the width, go to your local hobby shop, get some strip styrene plastic in the width closest to what you need, and in the closest possible thickness...reduce width and thickness if necessary by sanding flat on sandpaper, and cut to length. I've done this to set action between the thicknesses of the shims provided with the guitar. Strip styrene works pretty well.

Thanks Waskel. I had a credit card I was eyeballing last night. For some reason, my wife didn't want me to destroy her shopping without paying scheme. :D

Is that the "Play now, Pay later" or the "Don't ask, don't tell" plan.

Use the credit card. Give her the shim when it shows up.
