I've had this guitar since about 2000 I suppose...I picked it up used because I played it and it was incredible. I have never before or since seen another Ovation Celebrity like it.

Any help or insight at all is greatly appreciated.

This model guitar came up on a thread just recently. All I know is that I saw one in a music store about 10 years ago. Nice instrument.

Am I right? My trick is, the faster you answer, the less people question it.

There was one of these on ebay recently. I heard different comments.. Has there ever been a USA Celebrity?...The one on ebay had a USA serial number. I spoke with the seller. He wanted to accurately identify it as well. I don't think it sold. We could access the 'completed auctions'
and see if he learned anything more. But, if the OFC don't know, who's he gonna ask?... :)

The Applause was originally made in Moosup, USA.
The Matrix and similar high-end Celeb/XXX are/were assembled and finished in USA.

There were several kinda sort of things like that throughout the evolution.

I say if you like it, its wonderful.

BTW - Grif, I used to be fat, dumb and happy but I'm just not happy anymore... :(

Is that a 5 piece neck I see? On a Celebrity ?! Or is it just some painted racing stripes?
