Patriot 1776. #880 of 1776. I bought new on 11/18/76. Ovation collector dream has the original case, original owners manual, the original noterized certificate of authenticity(rare) and the very rare 1976 Ovation Acoustic catalog that shows models and specs and artists that played them. It has seen very little use,in excellent condition.See more pictures here; Patriot 1776

The 1776 is different than the Legend as it has the Custom Legend AAA spruce, A bracing, etc.

However, no abalone binding, neck pattern, bridge (not carved) is non-Custom Legend. TRC (walnut with single diamond inlaid.)

It is absolutely one of my top five guitars...warm, deep, mellow.

This guitar was recognized by Ovation as being an continued interest for collectors in 1982-1983. From what I have read, part of the stimulus for the Collector's series.

Definitely a guitar to have.

Hi,

I own one of the 1776!! An acoustic only and I agree with Tony.
Surely one of my favorit!!
... warm, deep, mellow and with an incredible look.

A piece of O's and USA history.

Jérôme :)
