Location: nyc | Wasn't there an Ovation solid body electric bass that had basicly the same design as the Breadwinner in the mid 70's?
Thanks, |

Location: The Great Pacific Northwest | Some people say the Magnum I and II is an elongated Breadwinner design. I don't exactly see it that way, but I've heard it described that way. |

| I have been asking about one of these for a while. WOuld love a matching deacon bodied bass. You'll have to make one like some of us have thought to do.
Mike you make one of these in a 5 string play it until you've had your fill and then please email me for a quick sale.

I have been thinking about one of these for a while. What are some of the specifics that you would be interested in? Neck, 4 or 5 string, active or passive, pickup configuration, body color/finish and hardware.
I visualize a 100% scale b/w body (although something slightly larger to balance the longer neck might be prudent), oem neck off of an ovation bass (to be yet determined), 4 string, active pickups, either neck and bridge pickup or single H fat pole as in the e-b musicman series. The musicman pickup might alter the look too much, I haven't decided. All hardware would be b/w configuration for location. I would try and modify a stock 6 string bridge. Plastic with brass saddles. Natural finish would be preferred.
What do you think.
