Joined: July 2008 Posts: 8 Location: Illinois | Hello all, I'm new to the forum but have been a member of the AGF and the Larrivee Forum for quite a while now. I was told about this awesome forum by Trader Jim after speaking with him yesterday. I'm a Pastor and have been playing guitar for many years now. I use my guitar's frequently and lead P&W here at our church 2x a week. AFter owning numerous guitars, ranging from HD-35's, HD-28's, Santa Cruz OMPW's, Gibson J100's, Taylor and the like I've wanted to try a USA made Ovation for some time now. I've owned a few Ovations, the last being a CSE-44 and it was a great value and a great player so I've been thinking about trading or selling my Larrivee outright so I could get an Ovation. Here is some info on the Larrivee...and BTW, I am looking forward to learning more about guitars as a whole and meeting some new friends! I thank you all for your hospitality in advance. I look forward to meeting\talking with you all! I have a Larrivee OM-05e with the B-Band A-5 pickup system and OHSC. Both the case and guitar are in near mint with one small indent on the top where the previous owner says he dropped a battery. Very small but I did want to mention it. It's a great guitar with plenty of volume and very well balanced. Sounds FANTASTIC recorded or live. These have a list price @ $2498.99 new with a less expensive pickup system and retail for $1849.99. With Larrivee prices increasing I estimate it's value with the B-band installed to be around $1250-$1350. Check out these pics. Jean Larrivee doesn't stain his tone woods so what you see is all natural with a gloss finish added. The top is darker in person, almost cedar like and the maple binding is gorgeous. I'm not a pro photographer so forgive my mediocre pics. This guitar is absolutely gorgeous in person..VERY WELL DONE! The case is your typical Larrivee OHSC and is in mint. I can take photo's of that too if necessary. It also come with all of the orig case paperwork and truss rod tool, as well as the B-Band instructions. I've done plenty of buying, selling and trading on the AGF so if references are needed I can provide them. I value character and integrity so what I list is 100% accurate and I do take VERY GOOD care of my gear. Sorry, but I'm looking to deal within the CONUS only...Thanks! Let me know what you've got, I'm open to offers, with the exception of electrics. email me @ pastortony@newlifeauburn.com. ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]()

I also lead P/W at my church in Oregon. The Larrivee is gorgeous and the one I played absolutely sounded fantastic. Hope you find a taker. Again....welcome

I think you'll be amazed at the bang for the buck of a US-made Ovation, even better than the Korean Celebrity you mentioned. Stick around, you'll get lots of advice and input. Best of luck with your quest. Great pictures, BTW!

Joined: July 2008 Posts: 8 Location: Illinois | The Larrivee is EXCEPTIONAL and the build and tonal quality rivals many high end Taylors and Martins I've owned. I may regret selling\trading her but I am a strummer and play a lot of percussive style DMB and Jack Johnson stuff on my own. I loved the tone of my Korean Ovation so I can only imagine what a USA made Ovation or Adamas might sound like. I would like to find a blue or a black if possible..that would be great! A trade would be ideal as well. Thanks for the pics comments..I tried to get some good shots, but I'm the furthest thing from a pro-photographer. Thanks again! BTW, I really liked the guitar listed here by MusicMishka...that 1987-5 Collectors..that seemed to be a very nice piece!

That is an exceptional guitar, one of the best wood-tops from Ovation. Send a personal message through this board to Pastor Mike/MusicMike/MusicMishka (yes, he's an ordained minister, too) - maybe you two can work something out.

You never know, he may change his mind! Guys, this OM is a great little guitar, and the B band blender electronics are exceptional. I almost had a deal working on this one, but sold the Tak first.

Joined: July 2008 Posts: 8 Location: Illinois | thought I had a trade deal worked out but apparently it's not going to come together...this one is still available. If you've never owned a Larrivee, I can tell you that the build quality and craftsmanship rivals most of the high end acoustics I've owned including SC, Martin and Taylor. Let me know what you've got! I've had some great offers but nothing has been finalized as of yet. Keep em coming!
