I liked it but intonation and keeping in tune, especially with new strings was an issue. Just the same, I used it for many years. I would suggest a roller bridge. That really helped with they tuning and smoothness. | ||

Joined: April 2006 Posts: 2491 Location: Copenhagen Denmark | I do what FENDER recommends,a drop ( tiny drop) of acid free oil in between metal parts,and tuning probs.are a problem of the past ( nearly ) and I do Use a Bigsby with Roller on my Washburn J-9,actually at the moment I `m using small bits of FELT on #1 NUT #2 SADDLES #3 Strip of FELT piece under Roller,the Felt gets the strings to Slide real well, might be worth a try :confused: :cool: Vic | ||

Joined: August 2002 Posts: 8307 Location: Tennessee | I have some TV Jones in an Epiphone FlameKat that has a epi knockoff of a Bigsby. It sounds great and is fun to play ... but its a semi-hollow body. There's also a Bigsby on my Hamer Newport ... there's no intonation problems or tuning issues at all - chalk that up to a high quality guitar. | ||

Joined: December 2004 Posts: 370 Location: Isle of Man, UK | Some people swear by locking tuners to help with tuning problems, so not sure if that's worth thinking about. Also, my Brian May (which has a really light touch knife-edge trem on) has a locking nut, and I've never had any tuning problems with that. Couple of things worth thinking about... JB | ||
