On ebay there is a Balladeer 1861. The listing says that the color is "Gold- Sparkle- metalic". The picture looks like "Natural" to me. The current models on Ovation's web site do not have a "Gold" color option. Was gold an option in prior years?

Thanks!

The Gold color was a model that we made for a short run a year or so ago. We also did them in blue transparent and a cople other finishes that didnt make it to market. The color is definetly gold!

"..Al is God..."
(or at least that's what Al thinks)

Seriously, if you read the "Welcome" page...
....that's Al.

Oh and by the way, "WELCOME to the Club".

The Hamer orange was pretty cool. The silver sparkle top ovations were rather eh ...interesting. I think it looks better on hamers than ovations. I had a gold one that I sold about a year or so ago. It had a rather thick finish but a really cool look. It developed a finish crack or two but the woman who currently owns the guitar loves it.

Me God? no not at all. Just a lunatic with a bunch of guitars
