"For $6000 you better hope that it cooks, cleans and is good in bed, because I'm outta here!" Does anyone know if these features are standard on the Q? Dave

Oh by the way the price is far from 6000-.Keep on guessing!

I just played a Composite Acoustics guitar that are made here in my home town. For 1400 dollars, they are awesome! They have Sam and my attention for sure. Great guitar for alot less. Come on Ovation....Paul Hebert

Maybe thats part of the problem..They are built one at a time and take a long time to finish!! It seems that other graphite guitar companys have found ways to make the guitars more efficiently and have made the guitars really sound very good, like wood guitars..So, it seems that other companies have the knowledge and the technology to make great sounding all graphite guitars at reasonable prices while ovation is 7 years in to the developement of the Q and all we have is a revolving glass case at the NAMM show with a Q guitar that no one can play because the higher ups at Ovation are still not happy with the sound...I guess my playing the CA guitar(legacy model) the other day ,really got me thinking about Ovation and all graphite guitars...As a Ovation guitar collector and as a fan i realized Ovation is loosing ground in this market..If they are going to finally put this high end, expensive guitar out after 7 years,it better be very, very good!!

It helps to promote interest in the product and when/if it hits the market there will already be some pre interest. I know it has been 7 years in the making, well maybe the Q is not the answer but the A, B , B, X, T, W, Y ,Z, will be

Remember this is not a public show, only for buyers, sellers and press, so I think the display was very appropriate. The words on the backdrop spoke of the history and how Ovation arrived at the Q. I think it was a nice "this is the future" showing. I would have liked to noodle it, but I really think NAMM is the worng surrounding to check out something that radical. Maybe if they setup an acoustic room at the next show, but I think they were showing off the technology of Ovation more than the "Q" itself.

For a company that invented the Adamas 1, they sure are taking their dear sweet time with the "Q". Marketing? this is marketing? An extremely overpriced guitar in a glass case that no one can play because higher-ups don't think it is ready. Hope the guitar is not already dis-Q-ualified....Paul Hebert
