That's what they used to fill the crack in my Ovation Custom Legend.

According to the book "GuitarPlayer Repair Guide" using medium grade superclue is a good way to fill cracks.

I'm not happy with the way the people who tried to fix the crack in my guitar ended up, I do believe with a little more effort, they could have done better.

I was just reading about glue. The brass nut on one of my breadwinners' came adrift. Anyway the Stewart-Macdonald catalog lists four different super glues (different viscosities).
If you are interested their web site is www.stewmac.com

I have a Legend being repaired right now and "The Repair Guy" (that's what he calls himself) says sometimes he uses super glue and sometimes he uses lacquer, depends on the crack. I'm going to pick it up today so I'll ask him what the difference is in cracks.

i've been told that lacquer is only used on lacquer. my elite is going in soon for the repair and i'm trying to do some research ahead of time. like the Gipper used to say "trust but verify". any more proffesional advice on this subject would be appreciated. thanks

I seem to recall a construction worker clinging to his hard hat...
Superglue and duct tape, two tools this guy couldn't live without!

O.K., as I posted earlier, I have recently found a crack in my 81 Legend'sfinish. This superglue deal. What do you do, fill the length of the crack with it, or just the end so it doesn't spread? How do you blend it in?

don't know about where it goes but i know that it gets wet sanded and buffed out when it's done to blend in. i'd imagine you wanna tape off the area so you don't end up in a sticky situation. it's pretty cheap to have it done by a skilled superglue technician. that way if it don't come out right you can blame someone else.

I don't know if a big bowl of glug would fix it, but it will make it seem much less important, and the wife will be more friendly, if you know what I mean.

Bailey ;)
