Who here has tuned into Pandora Radio on the net? For us it has been a great find. My wife signed up at the recommendation of our college aged son while I was gone for several weeks.

We now have several 'personal' radio stations. The way it works is that you build a station with artist you like and it fills in with similar style music.

My current favorite is what my wife set up as 'Melissa Etheridge'. I added:

Susan Tedeschi and KT Turnstall.

I know, it doesn't sound like much, but what plays is some kick a$$ blues. Do yourself a favor and build this station and give it a whirl.

I've got about 6 "stations", so far. It tends to repeat itself, but it's still great. It's also got a cute feature- there are pop-up screens, about every 20-30 minutes, asking if you're still listening. Sounds only fair.....since its free.

You can download the Pandora application for the iPhone/iTouch. Then set up your stations on your computer. I have Leo Kottke and John Prine and get some pretty good guitar pickers.

I like it. I've found a few new bands to listen to by listening to my station.

I've been using it at work for nearly a year now. Found a lot of artists I hadn't heard of before thanks to its recommendations. Great stuff.

I clicked on the aol station and after it said "my" station was loading, it immediately started playing oldies. How did they know?

Mark, that link took you to my first preset.
Figured it would appeal to most of us.

I have a station based on a James Galway Holiday album. Not much Galway, but great holiday background music. Then I have Little Richard for when I want to kick back. About 6 or 7 stations pretty much fit any mood.

I use Pandora at work every day. It can get repetitive, but if you keep adding different songs to it your station keeps growing. When I hear a new artist I really like I'll look at the songs on their album and add a few to the station. That really opens it up.

I have found a lot of great new (to me) music through Pandora.
