This thing has totally blown me away the better part of the afternoon after being shown to me by my boss, of all people. (We're supposed to working today, ha ha ha). Anyway, there are a zillion vids on youtube for the thing. Here's just one: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=1hIpTo410oU&feature=related Jimi's gotta be spinning in his grave, and Slash and David Gimour are probably doing involuntary twirls themselves.

Reason I ask is that there seems to be inputs coming from somewhere other than his hands - this is particularly noticeable with the right hand. Edit - there also seems to be a couple of pull-offs and slides in there that his left hand doesn't do either. Or maybe I'm just to old to see it..lol

To answer other questions: - I don't know, but there DOES seem to be some kind of accompaniment aspect to the gizmo in some vids - If you look at 'pocket guitar hotel california' that guy is just pressing buttons that say the chord name (rather than fingering the 'keyboard'), so again, there are apparently many permutations to how you can use the thing - including modeling for acoustic and various electric sounds - OldLiverJones: I actually looked through quite a few of them before settling on this vid as this one seemed to me to be most like actually playing a guitar (strumming and fingering chords). Figured anyone interested could peruse through the rest. - Of course it will never replace guitars (even if you put the Iphone in a birdseye maple case), but what a hoot. I can also see how it would be a great teaching device if some kind of riff catalog was available to highlight how to play various lead arrangements.

And how cool it was when Harrison used one in (ahem) that old Chiffons song.- If you look at 'pocket guitar hotel california' that guy is just pressing buttons that say the chord name (rather than fingering the 'keyboard'),

And really, to compare this toy to what beautiful, soulful music Dave Gilmour can create from his guitar is quite frankly insulting (or at best naive).
