I gravitate toward guitars with Cedar tops. I'm sorry, but my favorite at the moment is the Taylor GS Cedar/Mahogany. I'm fine with Seagulls, too except the wider neck troubles my arthritis. AND!!!...whenever I go to visit my sister in Jersey, I go to the Paramus GC and wind up spending a lot of time with the GC Baladeer Special with the Cedar top. So...what I think I want is to optimize the sound of the Cedar top by making this into a Baladeer LX with a Cedar top, deep bowl (do they have a GS deep bowl?),and maybe that beautiful Abalone rosette. Will this sound like what I want, or should I just get the Taylor? John <>{

Either way, you are getting a really nice guitar. Its strictly a question of blondes vs brunettes from there.

Pirate Music stores;, "Avast ye scurvy musicians!"

When visiting it's also handy to be familiar with the terms "ocean-side" and "mountain-side". that's "mauka" (mountain-side) and "makai" (ocean-side) i'm wondering if john responded, "on island", to mean that that is the clue as to why the top on the taylor was rippling? if so, i also stated that the guitar was factory fresh and that the humidity level was 56%. the top should not be rippled given those conditions.
