Location: Maple Shade, NJ.		In August I had a pain that developed out of nowhere, no fall, no trauma just a pain in my Elbow, within a week the upper part of my elbow where the bottom of your tricep muscle would be swelled up like a baseball, long story short I need surgery to fix a torn Tricep Tendon.
I know its a longshot but,.....
By any chance has anyone heard of someone that may have had this, and did it affect there playing?

I would imagine that you could compenstate easier if it was the strummin' arm.
The fretboard side could take some rehab.

Location: Upper Left USA		Any corrective surgery you enter into should also include appropriate physical therapy to bring you back to 100%.

If it's the Strummin arm you may have to learn some fingerstyle techniques or get a slimmer bowl/body size.

Can't help ya with your particular situation. But having recently gone through two surgeries on my ankle, just listen to the docs AND nurses!

Here's to a quick and successful procedure...

BTW, no I don't play guitar with my ankle. Hell, I have enough trouble using my hands! Oh wait, with the metal plate in it, I could try slide... Naw, that's what got me into trouble in the first place...

Hey Damon, funny thing is no pain at all when I play, guess you don't use the tricep muscle on the fretting hand when playing, the problem is that the cut for the surgery is fairly large, thats whats got me worried, and our schedule is heavy after the 1st of the year, gives me about 3 weeks to heal to a point that I can play.
