Hello Everyone,
This is my first post. I purchased the 1776 Ovation Patriot new in...of course, 1976. It has action that is easily as good as the best acoustics I've ever played as well as beautiful tone and intonation. It only has one tiny scratch on it. I've been a little protective of it. Anyway, does anyone have an idea of the present value of this guitar? Thanks for any help on this.
Giovanni

Just curious... Anybody own one of them red-white & blue American Flag Ovations?
WHY?! (just kidding)

No, really... Does anyone have one of them?

I agree with CWK's price range evaluation for one in your condition, though one going for the upper end is unusual. But every once in a while someone will buy an Ovation on eBay for an eyebrow raising bid.

I remember one on eBay Australia a while back and the seller was asking something silly like $4K. I don't think he got it.

Well, I understand # 1 and # 76 are available for a lot more...

# 880 that I adopted a couple of years ago was $720 and that was a good deal. I have one of them in the living room...beautiful and great players.
