Joined: February 2002 Posts: 5750 Location: Scotland | They were giving away samples of these at NAMM. The concept is very simple and nothing new, it was patented in the early 70's. In fact Ovation had exactly the same thing, though somewhat larger in the mid/late 70's. I have the Ovation version, still works fine, and still has the original price sticker, which was almost $70! | ||

It's perfect for noisy environments, it's very accurate, and very quick to pick up and get a guitar tuned. The main downside is that it doesn't straightaway tell you which direction to tune, which makes the more capable tuners a bit nicer in that regard. | ||
