Location: moline, illinois | I spotted a beautiful looking 1977 custom legend 6 string slothead in natural that's caught my attention.
I've never owned a slothead before so looking for pros and cons about this design.I'm not sure about the model number yet going to call tomorrow but it looks like a 1119 with carved truss rod cover and bridge.
Does anyone know about the bowls, necks and electronics from this year its listed as 5 stars and looks awesome for its age. |

Location: south east Michigan | On my slothead the gear ratio on the tuners makes them "touchy". A little tweak does a lot. Standard headstock tuners seem more forgiving.
It's a very minor gripe but since we're talkin' about it.... |

Location: Tennessee | A six string slothead Custom Legend? I didn't know these existed. The 12'er, yes. But a six string? Very interesting. Is it a 12 fret neck? Would love to see a picture of it.

Location: Taxed To Death State | It was still up on their site and I called them about it. I noticed in the picture with the reflection that the sound board looked like it had a big dip in it on the lower bout. The used guitar guy told me the sound board was shot and the guitar was junk. Too bad because that thing is beautiful. |

Location: Fort Worth, TX | Stringin a slothead is a piece of cake. I nailed it on the first try with instructions I found by googling "stringing slothead guitar". The little 90 degree bend you make at the end of string holds very well while cranking it up. Ya just have to remember to wind extra towards the outside of the headstock after making a locking loop first. |
