I have had a number but never as good as the 1719-30CM. For me, the 1719-30CM is a keeper along with several CL 12-strings. As I have two 1719-30CM's, one that I play and one that has been kept in a case and not played since 2004 is for sale for $1,850 (no warranty as I am not a dealer). No negotiation as I will just continue planning to give it to my daughter or my granddaughter in the future (may be years far in the future as my granddaughter is only 3 years old. Every once in awhile, a used one becomes available for less...patience may identify a give-away price. Good luck.

No offense to your asking price but dont ya think that is a lot to ask for one of these? To each is own for setting a price, I could never pay that price knowing they have sold for half of that. mine new from the factory cost me 1,600. I figured giving a shot here at the forum to see what`s out there, I guess folks are holding on to their guitars. I found a mint 1995 1769 for $700 shipped that I am going to go with. I think you should pass that one along to your daughter, that would be nice. All the best, Happy New Year! Edited by dnc4eva 2013-01-02 8:15 AM

I am sure someone out there will buy that great guitar when he decides to put it up for sale.. I apologize tony if I came off the wrong way. I am honest and say it like it is, not trying to hurt anyone here. The truth of the matter is, one could ask any amount of $$$ for their axe doesnt mean they will get it or maybe they will. I have bought c.l.`s that were in really nice shape for less than half of that, but being it is what it is, I would see more of a higher asking price for it. Lets face facts here, O`s dont command a good resell, I dont know why, they are great guitars thats why ive owned 13 or so of them. I dont control the markets. Thank you much Tony for your kind offer, If I had money to splash around, I would happily buy it.

Several individuals on the OFC have had my help finding this model from others at a lot less than I would sell it for. The Di Meola 1769 is a great guitar. Bought an ADII in 2004 but let it go a couple of months later to a professional guitarist/friend for less than $1,000. I just felt that strongly about the 1719-30CM and he loved the ADII. Guess that is why there are so many models out there. Enjoy your guitar...remember, we like photos.

No more production other than a long wait from Ovation's custom shop (if they can do it). Think about it. Ovations seem impervious to damage but pre-Fender NOS or A+ condition will bring the true value. No supply and strong demand? Hold on and watch the 'market' truly show the value of a superior guitar. 4/10/08 bought a 2007 HD28-VS (vintage slothead, acoustic) from T28 for $2,500. Worth more now (because it is a Martin) but doesn't get played as much as the 1719-30CM. A few years ago, used Ovations were increasing 28-30%. I bought the Martin D25-K2 NAMM guitar of 1980 which has increased but acoustic and not near as good as the Ovation 2009C. If you are a buyer, buy now as this is the end of the nay sayer's predictions of worth. This is true for Adamas also.

There is a little bellying on the front below the bridge, but still room to 'grow'. Serial number shows it to be a `95 model and it has an Optima installed. Part of the rosette had popped loose at one time, so I glued it back down. The gold on the tuners is a little tarnished and dull, so I will polish them up a bit when I change the strings. Overall, I'm happy with it. There are a couple of other nice-looking CLs that have come up for sale on eBay, both -1 models: http://www.ebay.com/itm/Ovation-1619-Custom-Legend-/251211443977?pt=Guitar&hash=item3a7d5e6f09
