See for yourself- http://www.ebay.com/itm/1972-OVATION-DEACON-BREADWINNER-USA-HANG-TA... Outrageous! I've got one of these layin' around, maybe he'll want another one at 1/2 the price. No I'd feel guilty selling this to anyone. It's a nice keepsake but jeesh!!

Just because someone think things should be given away free shouldn't make someone else in business, who needs to pay employees and taxes, a target of rants because they are engaging in free commerce. It's a rare piece and they can sell it for whatever they want without being subjected to defamation in a public forum such as this. You don't like the price? Don't buy it.

Joined: April 2011 Posts: 44 Location: Canada | I guess some people read what they want into what another writes. When scooterboy said "he'll eventually snag a Breadwinner/Deacon owner who is a completist" I did NOT call the seller delusional OR greedy. I responded ... "THAT'S GOOD TO KNOW...(i thought maybe he was etc..)" I get it.... being somewhat obsessive/compulsive myself when it comes to particular things...like music for example. If chief of price police isn't sarcastic ...you should get a flippin' dictionary. Although not resident, I AM a psychologist and Dr. As well as holding a Master's in music performance and composition. I DON'T usually even mention this, because sometimes it's not worth the paper it's printed on. But in this case I wonder who I'm talkin' to, perhaps one must prove themselves to be worthy of making comments on YOUR forum. Maybe we can all stop this pissing match, I think we've put out the fire by now!

You'll fit in just fine here, however, consider this thread and this post in particular a warning to think a little about the audience. Yes to "us" your comment may be sarcastic or not... doesn't matter really.. Truly I do not care either way. However, we members, aren't the 6000+ people who read these forums every month. Any time someone does a search... in fact in this case a search that includes Ovation and Brochure will put you either on this site or Ovation Tribute depending on the other words in the search. So in other words, everyone that saw the guys ad and did some research, saw your comment.... Think about that.. You may be directly responsible for loosing that guy a sale. Hey, it's the nature of the Internet, it happens. It's just as much a part of him doing business online as it is us promoting the brand we love. No harm, no foul, this time, just think about it next time. I'm going to lock this thread as there really isn't any more to say. If you want to discuss further, please use the PM function.
