Location: south east Michigan | Went out to dinner and listened to a acoustic duo for a bit.
They had quite a little set up. A Bose L1, all wireless, nice chest high mixer set up, a boat load of stomp boxes, and about 6 guitars.
They were on a break as we walked out and a guy made note of my Ovation shirt and said, "Ovations... nice guitars". BTW.... he was wearing a Taylor shirt.
Anyway, he said he had 3 Ovations at home and the oldest, a '78 needed some attention. I suggested he call Kim. Turns out he talked to Kim the other day about not being able to get his O working with his wireless setup. Kim gave him some suggestions and said if that did not work they would come up with a special pick-up that would.
He spoke very highly of our favorite service department. |

Location: south east Michigan | The guys owns 3 Ovations and only one Taylor. He's okay enough in my book.
It was a nice place called The Stoney Creek Roadhouse just outside Stoney Creek Metropark. |

My first UST was a thinline I put into a Martin I had, no pre-amp just the unbuffered pick-up, which I ran to an outboard pre-amp. If I tried a wireless between the pick-up and the pre-amp it sounded lousy; hard wired it was fine. |

Location: south east Michigan | I'm talking about something way above my pay grade here but the guy said he had trouble getting the guitar and the wireless device... atinuatated. (Ah-tin-you-a-ted).
I just nodded my head up & down as if to say, "Oh yeah, of course, that would be a problem" |
