I kept telling him about 1537s for sale, but they always seemed to be out of his price range. Thursday he told me his wife wanted to buy him a guitar for his birthday, which isn't till summer, so he told her to ask my advice. I can't wait that long, so this morning I called and told them to bid on the Artist 1621 that was on ebay. I see he just got it for $206. I thought that was a pretty good deal. I think I get to pick it up next week after I visit Dave in Arizona and bring it back. That way I'll get to play it when I'm down there, after I deliver the wooden roundback to Dave.

It wasn't on my want list, so even if it was a good deal, I didn't want to risk the wrath of SWMBO by violating her moratorium. Looks like I'll save him the $45 shipping by picking it up next week, too, so it was a really good deal. I'm becoming an Ovation broker.

Maybe needs a neck reset, but the owner liked what he bought. He had to play my 1537 when he came over to pick up the Artist. The Artist isn't going to cure his GAS after playing the 1537.
