Would it be a Hamer or more in line with the Viper? Use an LX style neck attachment! My wish is that they reissue the Deacon necks in any shape or form. You can build any body you want but there is no comparison to an Ovation neck!

The answer was flatly NO, but making something along the lines of the Taylor T-5 might not be out of the question (presumably something different than the chambered Viper). I would not interpret this as anything more than "thinking of possibilities". You probably would have gotten the same answer if you asked if they were considering making a banjo. Dave

It was definitely a "There's nothing in line but we never say never." type response with the caveat that "...but if you're wondering if we'd come out with a Breadwinner or Deacon reissue, the answer is no."

A buddy of mine bought a T5 the very day they hit the local Guitar Center (supposedly, he was the first non-employee to touch it). He loves it. But I think the problem with the T5, and hybrids as a whole, is that they try to be the jack of all trades of guitars, but they're masters of none! To me, they're "almost" guitars. They sound almost like an electric and almost like an acoustic, but not convincingly enough like either to make them worthwhile. Besides, doesn't Hamer already offer a hybrid?

(Not something for "everyone", but cool nonetheless) Also, they let out that they're considering branching out into "ethnic" instruments (like cuatros). Evidently, it's a sizeable, un-tapped market . . .
