Saw a Glen Campbell bluebird for sale on ebay. Why do those always look green in pictures? Are they green? Were some green and some blue?

Is it possible that the guitars were painted blue and then finished with something that yellows with age..... one of those blue plus yellow equals green kinda things?

No, they're blue, just a bad camera. The finish is polyester and it doesn't yellow like lacquer.

On my 'birds, the basecoat looks between a baby blue and slate gray. One metalflake is blue but there is an equal amount of yellow/gold. Yellow and blue do indeed make my guitars an aqua or greenish color in many lights. Here is a closeup of the Bluebird 6 that I have.

There was one of these birds that turned brown and flew to Mexico. It was a 12 string. Must have been the brown sheep of the family!

The colour of Wayne's guitar kinda reminds me of the Biege(-7) on my old Adamas.

Paul, when I first seen it that is exactly the effect thought they were shooting for.

Whenever I read a post marked Blue bird I immediate get the Buffalo Springfield song playijng in my head and am haunted by Stephen
Stills' voice...then of course Mr. soul comes up and then For what it's worth and eventually I winde up listening to the whole album in my mind. I need some intervention here.

Cliff, you are so right.
and Al, that's a great song, especially the end with Charlie Chan on banjer.

There was a Russel sighting in Santa Fe New Mexico several days ago.

These birds should remind you of the Adamas, the same guy painted them using the same colors. NIck Mackin, lives near Orlando now.
