Joined: March 2002 Posts: 1380 Location: Central Oregon | If a quarter inch wrench won't fit it somebody has screwed it up. The factory wrench I got with my 2003 Elite is quarter inch & it fits my Custom Balladeer perfectly. The Celebrities are 5mm. /\/\/ | ||

Does the hole seem to be too large or too small? Can you get a look at it to see if it's damaged? Btw, I like that blue Viper of yours, very nice looking guitar. /\/\/ | ||

Joined: August 2003 Posts: 4619 Location: SoCal | 4861 Balladeer, ser # 398626, was made in 1989. 4861 denotes a Korean made, with no trc. From what I have been told, the Balladeer was made for six months in Korea. | ||

Joined: February 2004 Posts: 116 Location: Freeport, IL | Hi, Looks like it may be damaged - have to wait until Monday and I'll take it in with me to the studio and get a better look. Meanwhile, added a shim and that solved the little bit of buzzing that I was getting. The Viper is special - no doubt. It is a beauty. I used it today to back up a 15 year old kid with a voice like Joe Nichols - country singer. Wierd to see this young guy with this amazing baritone coming out of him. He did a nice job. Joined: August 2003 Posts: 4619 Location: SoCal | Jon, the guitar was purchased on 5/20/03 from a 4th generation musician and teacher in Sacramento (Evo Bluestein.) Personally, I liked the setup so never attempted to adjust. No wrench came with the guitar, nor was any declaration by him of a problem made although he was very accurate in his disclosure. Not sure how it would be damaged, this may be a good question for Kim or John as to what size you need. If you are unable to find the right size, either contact them directly or give me update on what you tried, and I will call them. | ||
