I see "Pre Fender" mentioned on Ebay listings. Someone please explain this to a newbie.

Thanks,

Corey

About a year ago now Kaman Music Corp (Ovation, Adamas, Hamer) was purchased buy Fender Corp.

There was some concern and talk of doom & gloom at the time but so far, as far we can see, everything is cool.

Thanks Brad. What if any effect did that purchase have on Ovation guitars as far as manufacturing, quality, etc.

Can you give me a brief history of the Adamas line?

Thanks!

From what I can guess... and this is just a guess and an opinion,... it seems like Ovation is plugging right along. New items that had to have been in the pipeline before Fender continue to roll out. The Mothership (factory) has had in increase in responsiblities.

It's very likely that the "pre-Fender" description will end up meaning very little as far as quality issues and model line-up.
If the factory ever has another open house it will be very interesting to see the changes that have been made.

As far as the history of Adamas.... that is a long story and the wife is calling for some help with gift wrapping.
Soooo.... see ya!
