I listened to your advice about looking for a used USA Ovation, but I couldn't find one in my price range that I really liked, so I bought a brand new CDX24 with a hardshell case for about $500. The guitar has a beautiful Deep Transparent Red finish, mid-depth body, OP-Pro preamp, and a solid top. And most importantly, it sounds amazing - like all Ovations do. Two stories about my new guitar: I bought my guitar on Monday night, received a confirmation email, and heard nothing since then. After three days with no news, I emailed the store I bought it from today, asking where it was. Fifteen minutes later, UPS arrives with my guitar. Talk about good customer service :D I tested my OP-Pro preamp to make sure it worked. I removed the preamp and put in the provided battery. The preamp didn't work  . I started panicking, about to curse my bad luck. Then, I checked the power of the battery. It was dead. I replaced the battery, and all is good now :)

And a Solid Top! I have owned many Celebrity's before I became a solid-top-snob. Give us the Professional Review.

It's a 12-string and sounds great, but frankly, I felt limited on what I could play on it, so I looked for a 6-string acoustic/electric. Then I met Ovation :)
