Location: Blue Ridge Mountains | Alvin Lee, Ten Years After guitarist died today after complications from surgery...he was 68...thanks for the music Alvin...RIP...we're getting old folks...most of us anyway...

I stumbled on the Director's Cut of Woodstock on cable a couple of nights ago, just in time to see Alvin w/ Ten Years After. As with every other of the many, many times I've seen it, his performance blew me away.

Location: Boise, Idaho | I wrote down the lyrics to "Love to Change the World" in a little red notebook of guitar songs that I started in the 60s. It's one of the only songs I put in that book that I never learned to play. It was just way above me, but still one of my favorites. |
