This girl, I swear...

She's gonna take a trip to see mother again. Last time was a neck issue, the mothership did a great job resetting it and got it playing like a dream. Well, she popped a brace this time. Can't seem to keep things together.

Some might ask, "Why would Damon keep such a problematic guitar?" These people have obiously never owned one of these things. The only way you could pry this away from me would be putting an OFCII in it's place... Or maybe with a Longneck... Stephen?

I think it's f'n cool.

2080? A Big +1

Sadly, the only way I could post remotely comparable photos of mine would be to photoshop the serial number on Damon's…

<p>Oh, Damon, not only are you a fabulous photographer, I always, ALWAYS enjoy your performances. You have a great voice! Thanks for sharing this. I know the fellas at the MS will fix her up right. Try not to 'jones' too much without her. PUUUURRRRTY guitar... I missed an opportunity to own one of those, too, and wish I hadn't...</p><p> </p><p> Willa</p>

yeah Damon, I hear you.

I actually popped a brace on the 12 string longneck cause when I changed strings I went to heavy and the additional tension caused it to pop. Scared the crap out of me when it popped and it also lost about 80% of it's volume.

Learned my lesson.....the factory puts a certain gauge of string on for a reason.
Just glad I got it fixed with minimal fuss cause they are hard to beat when it comes to playing live!

Uh oh, I've been using mediums on my 2080 for the past 6 months. Trying to find the perfect unplugged sound, and the mediums are working better for me to get a bit more crispness. (Dean Markley 80/20 Helix). Maybe I should back off to lights again if braces might pop loose.

Thank you Willa. You're too kind. As for John and Kim, they've never done me wrong so far. I'm sure she'll be better than new.

FWIW all, I've used EJ16s pretty much exclusively on it.

And Stephen, one of these days I'll have to check out those Longnecks. I'm afraid it'll cost me the price of a custom order if I do though.

Beautiful guitar(s) and great camera work!! Only surpassed by your playing. Not an easy song to play and then to sing as well is really difficult. Nice work my friend!!

I agree! great video, and very nice photos. I have a fair amount of photography in my background, so I'm curious what gear you're using for your pics. I haven't gotten around to taking any guitar photos yet, but I'm sure I'll need to soon! I don't want to hijack your thread, so when/if you get a chance, PM me with the info. I wouldn't mind comparing notes. Thanks!

Thanks everyone for the kind words on the video.

Monttexan, no need for a PM. There's no magic equipment. I use a 10yo Nikon Coolpix with a flash shoe and bounce the flash off the walls/ceiling.

It's the red blanket I think.

And an extremely creative and talented eye in using angles and when framing the subject.
