I just added a rough cut of my arrangement for this song to my page. I'd love some feedback as I try to figure out how to add tracks for it. A mandolin and mandocello would round the piece out nicely don't you think?

...very nice Patch!

My first thought was "wow, a cello and a harp would go well here"!

But I can't play violin....

...or banjo for that matter.

Well Patch, you've done it again. That is one of my favorite songs. A friend of mine used to play that, but when his Mom passed away he was asked to play it at her funeral, and now he can't sing it anymore without getting all choked up.

Mandolin would sound good with it, or fiddle or harp. But just the guitar and voice is good too. So, my compliments on the song, and also on your fabulous taste in music. :) :cool: ;)

Very nice, Patch;
I was thinking that some resonator glides here and there would be good, too--I know, you may not play one, but maybe if you know someone who does......

Love it. Needs Irish pipes and a "box".
