Location: Upper Left USA | I have a 1974 made Custom Balladeer 1112-1 and it is a very nice guitar.
It has it's own model characteristics but is a nice guitar.
They have been Ebaying from $200-$400 with OHSC. |

Location: Seymour, Tennessee | The Deluxe Balladeer is a little fancier than the regular Balladeers.
What year is it?
If it's a shiney bowl snap it up :) |

Location: SoCal | The title of the thread says Deluxe Balladeer. Woodrow's talking about a Custom Balladeer. Two different guitars. Which is it? |

Location: Upper Left USA | For $150 I'd snag it. I can send you a TRC and if the bowl (fiberglass) has a crack it's easy to repair.
You could most likely turn around and sell it for $200 or more to get your next Ovation.
Once you compare the USA made O's to the Celebrity you'll be hooked into finding others.
Good Eye, PI! |

Location: Tennessee | Drift ... if the guitar you're eyeballing is a reissue Deluxe Balladeer (shiny bowl, MOP rosette, triangular rosewood bridge, Kluson tuners), then those are outstanding guitars. IMHO, one of the very best to come out of the factory in recent years. If it happens to be an old original one ... well, as long as it's not damaged then you ought to snap it up in a heartbeat. HOWEVER ... regardless of what it is, go play the guitar. If it doesn't speak to you, it don't matter what anybody here says. |

Location: Tennessee | Oops ... my bad. The reissue was the K1111 Balladeer. But it's so freaking good, it ought to be called Deluxe. |
