It's interesting. Glen's gone full circle with his acoustic Ovations. After playing the original GC Deluxe Balladeer, then going to the GC Artist, then to an A braced Legend, then to Adamii, back to wood topped Elites (his prototype then an 87C), now when he's seen playing a full body Ovation acoustic, it's an early 80's black Custom Legend. In his show, he plays a Viper, but that CL pops up all the time. Basically, an A braced round hole, deep body Ovation.....

When I handed him my 1866 to sign, he took it, then noticing the model, said, "Hey, this is an Ovation. These things are great guitars. I love 'em." He then strummed a few quick chords, flipped it upright, and signed it. It was a memorable moment.

Owned an LP many years ago titled "The Astounding 12 String Guitar of Glenn Campbell".

This thread reminded me of it so looked on youtube and all the tracks are there.

The alblum is from 1964 - isn't modern technology just brilliant.

Gee Brad, you didn't have him sign your OFC guitar?

Don't tell me, I'll guess. This was in 2005 or 06?

Could have been in 2006 or 2007. Maybe Stephen can remember as he was there, too. I wanted GC's signature, sure, but not so badly as to put it on the OFC-I. Now, maybe if he could have stuck his hand through the epaulet and put it where those other good fellas had signed it . . .

He did a show at Denver's Boettcher Concert Hall with the Colorado Symphony of which I am also affiliated. My people worked it out with his people, so I had a guitar awaiting backstage. He was very cordial and accommodating.
