Look close. An O 12 string sitting to his left.
That guitar played the whole song. All Steve did was noodle around with an upside down guitar.

Location: closely held secret | He was the lead guitarist. It was his band. The song only has 3 chords.
He's supposed to stand there on Midnight Special and play rhythm on a 3 chord song and let someone else play his lead parts? |

Location: Connersville, Indiana | When Steve Miller Band was a band before they were big time, they played songs, like the joker, almost like a jazz band. Sometimes the songs were played for 6-10 minutes long. When they recorded their albums they spent a long time on making the songs short enough for radio play. So I read in Guitar Mag. |

| Forget if you like the Artist or not.I never got the Steve Miller thing either, and I was 20 when he was playing alot.
But if you take the time to watch him play the Joker in some radio station acoustic, alone,it kinda moves ya.
Youtube
Fun song to play it that way. |

Location: Connersville, Indiana | I watched Palledium music cross roads...It had Kenny Chesney playing with Steve Miller. In the interview Mr. Miller said the Les Paul was his god father. Wonder if that's true or not. |

Location: Connersville, Indiana | Thanks Zilla, I love Steve Miller, but I had not heard he had a new cd out. I know one of the members passed away a while. Also on the show he said that him and his band has been together for almost 45 years now. Wow......Keep on a rocking me baby - Steve Miller Band. :D |
