Joined: December 2003 Posts: 7 | i am looking to sell a 1996, 30th anniversary edition ovation 1768-7LTD elite. it has 1966-1996 inlay at the 12th fret. mother of pearl inlay surrounds the ENTIRE guitar. i have original hardshell case and a vinyl cover that goes over the case. the guitar plays and sound great but does have a 4 1/2 inch crack in the finish only(not the wood). i'm looking for a martin hd-28v if anyone would be interested in a trade. if interested please email me at brirxATcomcastDOTnet i will gladly send you pictures. thanks, brian

I thought that $700 was fair (if not low) to begin with...but what can i say...it seems the finish crack really must take away from the appeal of the guitar. so at least for now i have decide to keep the guitar. (if anyone wants to make an offer of $700+ please feel free) thanks anyway to everyone who expressed interest in my guitar. brian

It has been my experience that this *is* the best place to find Ovation fans. But, fans != buyers. :) Perhaps it may be that none of the O fans here are in the market for a 30th? Or those who want/can afford one already have one? I'd love to buy another O (I haven't seen your particular 30th, but the pix I have seen of them make them out to be very desireable), but I can't justify a second A/E-type guitar...especially while deep in the throes of perfecting my anti-SONAR defense.
