I got a Balladeer 1861 Standard the other day. I was wondering if someone could give me an estimate of what they're going for, so I know I didn't ripped off. On samedaymusic.com they're gonig for about 600, is that correct?

I assume you are talking new...

List is $1189.00
Advertised price is $830.00

So 600.00 is an EXCELLANT deal!

Was this an FRG that you got, or that was being advertised???

No, I got a used one on clearance at guitar center for $435. It's just a standard but I'am glad I got it. That's for the assurance though, I was hopeing to not get ripped off. It'll be at the NW BBQ, you should being your Texas BBQ knowhow!

I'm sure you'd prefer to remain anonymous. Otherwise, someone might post a not too flattering likeness of you in a boat and put it on a t shirt.

If I were at a gathering, I'd prefer to keep a low profile ... it's the next best thing to being anonymous. :)

BTW. That was a good deal on the balladeer. Enjoy the guitar! :)

I go under a fake name then. James Dean sound okay? I'll probably stand out anyway, 'cause I'll be one of the youngest there. Might as well put a neon sign on me though.

s'Okay. No one's likely to see you through the glaring reflections off several dozen bare pates.

Good get on the git. Sounds like near what I paid for my Electric Balladeer 30+ years ago. (yeah, like I remember THAT! )
