Location: Blue Ridge Mountains | I have owned well over thirty Ovations and Adamas (probably closer to 40 if the truth be known) but I have never owned a Solid Body O until yesterday. This 1291-B UK II 1979 litteraly fell into my lap and was the proverbial "deal you can't refuse". I am thrilled with this guitar...I have gone to Jerome's site and read the original brochures on this and viewed the original price list...But when all that's said and done, until you actually play one, you cannot appreciate the beauty of this guitar. Light weight, Killer sounds, great looks: Definatly one of the nicest I have seen.
Here's some pic's:

Location: Sunshine State, Australia | I REALLY want a UKII. Everyone seems to be picking them up for a steal.
The ones on eBay are asking $1k+, they're dreaming. |

Location: GA USA | Of course I'm very superficial in what I like about a guitar, and I know that UK2's are awesome guitars. If the pickup plates weren't so big and ugly, it wouldn't be an ugly guitar. But they are so it is, IMVHO.
Congrats on a terrific instrument, I'm sure. |

Location: Blue Ridge Mountains | Yes, the plates may be a bit large: the coil switch had to go somewhere: but again you have to play and hear this guitar...It will blow most other electric's right out of the water...this makes three for me now: a Les Paul, a Strat, and the Ovation. Each is very special and I'm proud to own them all...If I read correctly, Beal was on top of the design and production of this guitar...its an awesome git and I really like the barnboard finish as well...The Gold bridge with the OVATION imprint is so cool! It really is a fine guitar: sort of makes up for that Deacon 12 I failed to buy in '77. Well, almost...lol |

Location: Colorado Rocky Mountains | $1,000 for a UKii in beautiful shape is not out of range. Finding them is the tough part. The OFC may be one of the best sources, not only because we already own a bunch and there's always horsetrading going on, but also because so many folks here are always looking into their local sources and are more than willing to share the news. |
