Location: Anchorage, Alaska | I normaly use 12's on my acoustic guitars but have had a set of 13's laying around for a while and thought instead of going out and buying another set this morning, I would try these. Do many out there use 13's on your Ovation's? |

Location: Marlton, NJ | I just put them on the Balladeer and am keeping it tuned a whole step down for the time being - doesn't feel much different but sounds great... except for songs that I've been playing for a long time in standard tuning - they just sound wrong. |

Location: NJ | Just bring it up to ConcertPitch. The neck can handle it.
I used to play w/Lights ALL the time. After a week or two of "just getting used" to em, I'll never go back.
Of course, it all depends on the guitar & style your playing. I keep Lights on the SlotHead only because I like the way THAT particular guitar "sounds" with 'em on.
Everything else's got Meds. They're great for strumming & for fingerpicking . . . |

Location: Marlton, NJ | I'm not concerned about the neck. Actually I'm working on a song that's tuned down to D - one that you're very familiar with - Old City Bar and First Noel. Yes - I know it's August - but I have a long learning curve.
I'll try it at concert pitch to see what it sounds and feels like, but I'll leave it in D. |
