Joined: February 2004 Posts: 2487 | I think Baldwin had a guitar like this also but it had all those tap (rocker) switches built right into it to choose different vibrato's and those old synth sounds. They looked like fun!Called a Gitorgan ro something?? One went on Ebay last year I bid on but I had no idea what it may be worth. I bid $400 it went for $800. Had a shape and look kinda like a nice old gibson 335 semi hollow. Wonder how many other companies actually made one of these?? | ||

Joined: December 2001 Posts: 7224 Location: The Great Pacific Northwest | As cwk2 eluded, the Condor organ part was not very reliable, but... once you get it working, as Alpep mentioned, it does have some cool sounds and works pretty well. The "pickup" is 6 individual pickups that send the signal to the Condor box. It was way ahead of its time really. It does track pretty well too. I don't recall if I still have mine or not :( I haven't seen it in awhile. | ||

Joined: December 2001 Posts: 10583 Location: NJ | yup I know how to use it. the pickup replaces the brdige of the guitar. this also houses the pickup and is how the signal is transfered to the outboard unit. the box has a bunch of organ rocker switches with organ stop sort of names. most of them were rather drab much like most keyboards of that era with the same rocker switches. I forget which ones exactly but some had some very useable sounds. I remember liking the octave in particular. remember that all these early synth type units glitch and the tracking is horrible. you have to alter your technique to actually use the unit to its fullest limited potential. there are NO sounds you can get without the outboard box contary to what the auction says. | ||
