Location: ma. | another must have for aspiring song writers who aren't up on chord theory (who,me?) is a chord wheel www.chordwheel.com it takes most of the guess work out of finding matching chords to your progressions. i wrote my best songs (stairway to heaven and freebird)using that very same tool. |

Location: Fort Worth, Texas | Hey that chord wheel is great - I saw a book in the music store yesterday that had one of those wheels, but it's for the Nashville numbering system... |

Location: NJ | I recently saw an ad in Acoustic Guitar that Dan Erlewine is available on DVD. Sounds pretty good. Offers the ability to actually SEE something being done as opposed to reading about how to do it. |

Location: puerto vallarta, mexico | nashville numbering system???? the musicians here(mexican ones) use do re mi. is there much of anything in this world that is standard?
i made a note wheel out of a cd and a transparent cd case. there is a book called music theory made easy by david harp that shows how to make one from paper. the cd is just more durable and gave me something to do with gomer pyle singing songs of inspiration. actually the first time it has turned since someone left it here. |

Sounds like Gomer gave you more practical inspiration than his music ever does, sounds like that CD won't go to waste.
