What I love about those tops is that even though they're book-matched pieces, they each refract the light light angle differently, each side almost creating a "negative image" of the other.

Location: SoCal | My first ovation in 1981 was the dark sunburst CL 12-string...always liked how how the finish complemented the inlays. However, hard to take a good picture due to the reflection. Just posted my Viper and Typhoon basses. However, the picture of Typhoon doesn't do justice to the finish. |

I just posted my Breedlove 12 string and my classical cedar topped Ovation. Check out the wood on that 12-string. I know its not plastic, but i still sound good.
